Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at info@peakretirement.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Designed for individuals and couples, typically in their mid 40s to early 60s, who want a clear understanding of their options. It’s ideal for people who aren’t looking for financial products or regulated advice, but who do want to see their numbers clearly, test different scenarios and make well‑considered decisions about when to retire, slow down, change career and how life might look in the years ahead.

This service is non‑advised. That means we don’t recommend products, manage investments or tell you what you should do. Instead, we help you understand your position using live cashflow planning and structured discussion, so you can make informed decisions with confidence.

Financial advice focuses on selecting and recommending financial products. Our work focuses on clarity, options and decision‑making — without products, pressure or sales.

Yes. Many clients use this service alongside their adviser. It gives you clarity and confidence before you speak to them, so you can have more focused conversations and make decisions with a clearer view of your options.

Financial advisers in the UK often include cashflow modelling as part of a broader financial planning service. Where modelling is offered on a standalone basis, fees typically range from £750 to £2,500 or more, depending on the complexity of the situation and the level of advice provided - our service is different.

We provide scenario modelling and guidance only, without recommending specific financial products or giving regulated advice. This allows us to offer a focused 90-minute session for £250, helping you understand your options before deciding on any next steps.

If you do require personalised financial advice or product recommendations, we would always suggest speaking with an FCA authorised financial adviser.

Scenario testing lets us explore a range of “what if” situations — retiring earlier, reducing hours, market ups and downs, or unexpected spending — and see how each one might influence your long‑term financial picture. It isn’t about predicting the future or telling you what to do; it’s simply a clear, visual way to understand how different choices might play out so you can make decisions with more confidence and calm.

We can explore any practical questions related to your plans. Common areas include when you can afford to retire, how long your money might last, the impact of reducing work hours, future spending plans, pensions and savings, State Pension timing, and “what if?” scenarios. The focus is always on understanding your position and testing options — not recommending products or giving regulated advice.

No — you don’t have to complete every part of the programme. The essential element is the cashflow modelling - the Plan and Prepare stages - because that’s what gives you a clear picture of your financial direction and what’s possible. Some clients choose to start and finish there.

You’ll get more value, though, if you have the Premium session - the Prosper part and the  Annual Check In sessions. The Premium session helps you make full sense of the numbers and understand the choices they open up allowing for multiple scenario testing. The check in session gives you space to check your direction, reflect on any changes, and build confidence as you move forward with your life.

You’re free to choose the parts that feel right for you — but the full sequence is designed to give you the clearest, most joined‑up experience.

Yes. If you’d like continued support after your initial planning work, you can join The Peak Retirement Annual Check In — this service gives you ongoing clarity as your retirement evolves. and includes an annual 60‑minute review.

Yes. Sessions are typically held via a Zoom video call. In person is available if geography permits this. Many clients prefer online sessions for convenience.
